FRIED CHICKEN WITH PLANTAIN CHIPS
This scrumptious fried chicken is accompanied with shredded cabbage and a side of fried plantain chips. This is usually topped off with either tomato sauce or a special sauce made from ketchup and mayonnaise.
ENCHILADAS HondureÑas
These Central American version of enchiladas resemble tostadas. They are consist of a bottom layer of beans, with ground beef, following shredded cabbage, tomato, and slices of boiled eggs. All topped with shredded Cotija cheese and tomato sauce. All this on a golden fried corn-tortilla.
Pastelitos hondureÑos
Filled with ground beef, carrots, potatoes, and rice, this is a flavorful mix of stuffed goodness. Put together and folded in a corn flour dough and then deep friend to further cook and accentuate the flavor from the outside in. Topped off with cabbage and special tomato sauce.
Caldo de Mariscos
This stew is a combination of different types of shellfish such as: shrimp, clams, crab, octopus, scallops, etc.
At it’s base, it is cooked with coconut milk to give it a creamy texture and sweet undertone of flavor.
